...When you do Parkour, you become balanced, in harmony. Its like with different vibrations, like sounds. In music, you can hear if a note sounds out of tune. It gives you bad vibrations. When the musical note is in tune, it feels right in your ears. When the vibration is good, my vision is good, the jump feels right, and it goes well. That means I am in harmony...

...I’m the kind of person who never liked being told what to do. I always felt that as long as I had good intentions, when I want to do good things, I should be free to do as I please. And that’s what Parkour was for me. So if people are happy because they do flips, then bravo! If people are happy because they do competitions, then bravo! Now will I, David, do competitions? No, not me. But if it makes you happy, it’s good. I have no problem with that. I don't want to ban competitions. If some people want competitions, let’s go make some. If some people don't like competitions, go training. If you like climbing trees, climb trees. There is no problem. Everybody is free within Parkour to do what he or she wants...

...Parkour doesn’t give us any super powers. I don't know how to explain. It's a sense of wellbeing, not a super power. Parkour brings you a sense wellbeing. And when you are well, you want to help others feel well. And everyone passes that wellbeing back and forth. But there is no super power to be taken from Parkour, through ego. Ego is the enemy of Parkour....
